Behind the Studio Window: Where Art, Faith, and Nature Meet

Welcome to my creative world.

I write to you from my studio window, looking out over our yard where my husband engineered a pulley system to keep the bird feeders out of reach from bears and raccoons. (It spans sixty feet and hangs twenty feet in the air. The local wildlife is persistent—but so are we!)

Our home sits along a major bird migration route in the Northeast, and each season brings new visitors. Some birds stay for the summer. Others are simply passing through. They fill the trees surrounding our yard, bringing color, music, and constant inspiration.

Of course, it’s not only the birds who visit. We’ve watched squirrels scurry across branches, a fox carry off chickens, and once—a baby deer trying to play with a turkey. Nature here is equal parts beauty and wild surprises.

From this window, I paint. Most mornings begin with coffee and a brush in hand, and most evenings end the same way. This space is where I chase the dream God planted in my heart—to be a professional creative who glorifies Him and serves others.

My paintings are inspired by the scenes outside my studio window—and by the quiet moments God uses to speak to my heart. This blog is where I’ll share the stories behind the art, glimpses into my creative process, and the faith that fuels it all.

Thanks for being here. I’m so glad to share this journey with you.
