Podcast Episode 5: Faith, Femininity, and the Freedom to Shine | Show Notes
Share
Today I’m sharing a story about beauty, boldness, and how God can plant seeds of purpose in the most unexpected places—even through a little lip gloss.
When I first moved to Texas, newly married and feeling a bit lost, Mary Kay Cosmetics entered my life. What started as skincare and sales quickly turned into something far deeper. At the time, I didn’t realize God was laying the groundwork for my future as a faith-driven entrepreneur and leader.
💄 Key Takeaways from Today’s Episode:
✅ Faith and Business Can Coexist:
Mary Kay wasn’t just about beauty—it was about mission, mentorship, and leading with faith.
✅ True Beauty Begins in the Heart:
God isn’t against outward adornment. As 1 Peter 3:3-4 reminds us, our beauty shouldn’t come from outward things alone. We can honor God both inside and out.
✅ Nothing in Your Story Is Wasted:
Every experience—even those that seem random—can be a step on the path to your calling. God uses ordinary places, people, and moments to reveal extraordinary purpose.
✅ Confidence Doesn’t Equal Vanity:
Taking care of ourselves can be an act of stewardship. It’s okay to love lip gloss and love Jesus.
✅ The Power of Mentorship:
My MK Director believed in me before I fully believed in myself—a reminder that we’re called to lift others as we grow.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” — Philippians 1:6
