Creativity, Doubt, and the Courage to Begin Again
Share
My brother came to visit last weekend. Someone asked him, “Can you believe what your sister is doing now with her art and business?”
He didn’t miss a beat: “Absolutely. She’s always been creative.”
🥰 I love my brother.
It reminded me how important it is to nurture creativity—especially in young people. A few words of encouragement can be the difference between living a life of purpose and passion…or spending decades questioning your worth.
But here’s the truth: doubt doesn’t disappear just because we’re grown-ups.
Even now, I sometimes question my path. Is what I’m building meaningful? Am I doing enough?
When those thoughts creep in, I’ve learned to go back to basics:
-
Plug in with wise mentors
-
Seek positive, faith-rooted voices
-
Allow space for a mindset reset
For me, nothing restores perspective like a quick trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Fresh air, towering peaks, and the reminder that God is infinitely bigger than my fears.
One thing I’ve discovered: the mindset work I do for my business doesn’t stay in my business.
Whether I’m leading creative projects, coaching women, or simply showing up as myself—it all overlaps. The lessons I’ve learned about courage, innovation, and authenticity in leadership help me show up more fully in my faith journey…and vice versa.
Journaling has become my bridge. It helps me sort which lessons are mine to keep close—and which ones I’m meant to share to encourage others.
If you’re feeling stuck today, remember:
→ Perception is reality. Guard your filters. Protect your heart and mind.
And don’t be afraid to begin again.
